I really didn’t wait. Everyone was so nice.

They were all really nice. I would recommend Pekin Hospital to anyone.

Everyone was extremely pleasant. It was the people who made me feel like I made the right choice in choosing Pekin Hospital.

Doctor was great and made conversation with us while we were there.

My husband was a patient at your hospital for only a day and a half, but I know everyone treated him very well. Although his personality is not very good at this time in his life, everyone took it in stride. I’m very grateful!

Pekin Hospital offers very good skilled care with pleasant, personable personnel.

I couldn't have been cared for any better. You are just the right size, just the right distance from my home.

My mother has Alzheimer's and really doesn't remember things on her own to take care of herself. My mother and I were especially pleased with the care that the Home Health aide provided - very kind, patient, and friendly.

The nurses were fantastic and actually cared. If I ever need healthcare again, I’ll be going to Pekin Hospital.

My Dad worked for years in the surgery department of another hospital, and he came to your ER with cardiac issues. My concern was that we might need to transfer him to that hospital, but his care at Pekin was absolutely outstanding and I never had any desire to move Dad. I think when people do an outstanding job, it's important to make sure Administration knows that.

I came to The Baby Place for the tub and "Baby Friendly" designation. It is very important to me and why I chose Pekin Hospital.

Pekin Hospital Presents Life’s Not a Spectator Sport Seminar for Women

Central Illinois women are invited to attend Pekin Hospital's informational and entertaining seminar called Life's Not a Spectator Sport on Saturday, September 19 from 9 – 11 a.m. at Pekin Country Club.  This seminar will help women understand that it is not normal to experience pain in their joints or wince as they move.  With modern medicine's knowledge and increasing options for bone and joint health, women never need to become a spectator in the game of active living.

"We all want to live a long and healthy life full of activity, good health and happiness.  But many of us do not know how to protect that life," said Carrie Warner, Director of Marketing at Pekin Hospital.  "This program gets women to think about their personal risk factors as well as things that they can do every day to protect their mobility and current active lifestyle.  Women will be exposed to information and education on bone and joint health as well as learn about lifestyle choices that can make a difference in their lives.  All of this is wrapped up in our brand of "health-u-tainment", where serious information is balanced with a seriously good time.  The fun at this event will include an opportunity for ladies to test their skills at Wii Golf."

Attendees will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms as well as learn tips for preventing bone and joint disorders that can lead to impaired mobility in their everyday lives.  These include Arthritis, Osteoporosis, repetitive stress injuries and fractures (bone breaks).  Pekin Hospital wants every woman to know that it is never too late to improve her bone and joint health.

There is no cost to attend the event.  For more information or to attend Life's Not a Spectator Sport, contact Pekin Hospital at (309) 353-0662.  You can also visit spiritofwomen.com/seminarseries.
