Intermediate Care (ICU)/Critical Care Units (CCU)  Equipped with the best technology for close surveillance, the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Pekin Hospital are located on the seventh floor. The ICU/CCU is staffed by specially trained nurses who are certified in advanced cardiac life support and other intensive care treatments that are required by severely ill or injured adult patients. These nurses work as a team with physicians and various support services to provide quality care.
The ICU/CCU consists of 19 intermediate beds and 8 critical care beds. The Intermediate Unit has 7 private rooms and 12 semi-private rooms, while all Critical Care beds are private rooms.
