Healthcare at Home
At Pekin Hospital, we know there's nothing quite like home. That's why our skilled, compassionate, professional Home Health care team focuses on providing you expert care in the comfort of your own surroundings:
- Comprehensive patient assessment by registered nurses
- Patient and family education for diabetes, wound care, catheter management, pain control and nutritional support
- Medication instruction and monitoring
- Rehabilitation assistance by skilled therapists
- Personal care assistance by certified nursing assistants
- Social work services
- Pediatric services
Knowing illness and injury know no age, we offer a full scope of medical services for kids from birth to age 18. Only registered nurses, all with pediatrics experience, care for your children. Nothing is more difficult than having a sick child, and we've designed our program to make it easier on you, from helping you learn how to provide care to making convenient home visits so you don't have to leave the house with a sick child. We provide blood draws, post-newborn visits, post-injury support such as cast cleaning tips and pain control assistance and more.
Providing a level of care beyond independent agencies, our team commits and connects, taking the time to really get to know you and your needs. Whether you or a loved one or friend have recently been hospitalized, have a new diagnosis, are weakened by illness, have new or changed medications or are recovering from surgery or injury, we can help.
What's unique about Pekin Hospital Home Health?
