Our family always uses Pekin Hospital because we receive excellent care.

You have a great staff. I’m proud to say I had my surgery at Pekin Hospital.

I was able to do a lot of things on my own, but the Home Health ladies were very nice and friendly.

The volunteers in the surgery waiting room area are very cheerful and nice. The escort volunteers do a great job.

The office staff is always so pleasant - happy to be at work and happy to help you.

My experience at the doctor’s office was very good – I can’t find one thing to complain about!

Pekin Hospital always serves very good food. It is hard to please everyone, but you do an excellent job!

Service was good with no real delay in seeing the doctor and getting my problem treated.

We both enjoyed the home health care, therapists and nurses. They were all very kind and helpful.

The nurses took extra care with our two-year-old son - even taking extra steps not to wake him while he was sleeping.

The supervisor was training another worker. They were both excellent and must have asked me if I was comfortable at least five times! It was a great experience.

Pekin Hospital to Present Free Program on Skin Cancer , 2013-05-23

Pekin Hospital will offer a free presentation on skin cancer on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:30 – 6 p.m. at Pekin Hospital’s Park Court Conference Center.  A skin cancer screening will be held immediately following the presentation at 6 p.m.

Independent board certified general surgeons F. Nani Moazzam, M.D., and Paul Siebert, M.D., who are affiliated with Peoria Surgical Group, will discuss melanoma, squamous cell, and basal cell cancers.

According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types. More than 3.5 million skin cancers are diagnosed each year in the United States, more than all other cancers combined.  The number of skin cancer cases has been increasing over the past few decades.

The good news is that you can do a lot to protect yourself and your family from skin cancer, or to catch it early enough so that it can be treated effectively.  Most skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays.  Most of this exposure comes from the sun, but some may come from man-made sources, such as indoor tanning beds.  Join Pekin Hospital’s presentation and screening on June 4 to learn more.

To register, please call (309) 353-0662.  Walk-ins are welcome.
